Environmental dentistry

Presently, there are only a few dentists in Germany with additional training in environmental dentistry. This new sector of dentistry deals with complex diseases e.g. permanent low immunity, autoimmune diseases, allergies, rheumatism, nutrition intolerance or chronic diseases. Tooth or jaw problems can trigger such a disease, sometimes accompanied by intolerance to an undetected dental material.

Distortions and adverse effects can be caused by a variety of mutually interfering materials, in particular when applied incorrectly.

80% of material intolerances are caused by incorrect material application. In this context, dental prostheses from abroad, frequently imported from low wage countries, have become a highly topical and problematic issue. Dentists and dental technicians specifically certified by the associations DGUZ or GZM, however, provide a high quality standard in the professional application of dental materials.
